As opposed to fierce artists and dark beats that rule the underground electronic scene in the past couple of years, Monkey Safari is a duo that successfully brings sunny vibes to the darkest clubs, making hardcore ravers dance to their melodic deep house.

In 2015 they focused on their new label called ‘Hommage’, released a remix for Marc Houle’s ‘Pepper’ on the Minus label and released their hugely successful ‘Cranes’ and ‘Walls’ EPs. They got a chance to work with some exciting musicians, such as Wolf + Lamb and Kölsch, techno experts Guy Gerber and Josh Wink, as well as one of dance music’s most iconic producers, Moby.

Their first EP of 2016, ‘On’, featured remixes from the techno legend Paco Osuna alongside French producer Chloé. The second EP, ‘Bernstein’, included remixes by John Digweed & Nick Muir and a Spanish producer called UNER. They reached Beatport’s Tech House Top 10 with their  third, 4- track EP in 2016 called ‘Boris’, with remixes by Tel Aviv-based producer Guy Mantzur and Brazilian producer Victor Ruiz. After the successful ‘Woo’ and ‘Woo Remixes’ EPs, Monkey Safari were able to sign amazing Blond:ish, legendary John Tajada, and newcomer Marino Canal for a four-track EP on their Hommage imprint. Besides touring the world’s renowned clubs and festivals, the duo also shows their love for party in their hometown Halle, Germany, where they own the  recently remodeled ‘Charles Bronson’ club.

2017 is marked by their most recent release ‘Oxy’, featured as part of John Digweed’s ‘Bedrock Frequencies’ compilation. With a new album scheduled, expect the rest of the year to be equally as impressive as the duo aims to make it their most successful year yet. Monkey Safari brings rays of light to whatever dance floor they cast their shimmering spell on. This Wednesday they will paint Terrazza, Barcelona with bright colors.
